Donald Lemma's Mountaineering Homepage

"...climb if you will, but remember that courage and strength are nought without prudence, and that a momentary negligence may destroy the happiness of a lifetime. Do nothing in haste; look well to each step; and from the beginning think about what may be the end."

Edward Whymper - Scrambles Amongst the Alps (c.1871)
As part of my "midlife crisis" I took up high-altitude mountaineering. As my abilities improved, and my targeted destinations became more exotic, I found that there was a lack of comprehensive information available on the web. I decided to start this website to serve as both a reference guide to fellow enthusiasts, and as travelogue. I will be updating the site over the coming years and hope to include information as I climb each of "The Seven Summits", as well as other highpoints throughout the world.
